Aster, originally from Ethiopia, currently residing in USA Rockville Maryland. She has Bachelor degrees in Accounting and Management Information systems (MIS) from Unity University, Ethiopia. She began her career as an Accountant for Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation, held subsequent positions in credit and collections, tax preparation, Payroll Services, budgeting and corporate accounting. She rendered services on different levels of job grades, starting from junior, expert, up to managerial role.

After moving to the US, Aster took several trainings, Certify Information Technology SQL Server DBA/BI, HubSpot CRM, QuickBooks and other Accounting related Courses. Then she joined a company rendering services as a market promotion, office administration and Market Research expert in Sholla Corporation. She also worked as SQL Server Database Administrator at United Ventures Company, responsible to Install and maintain the performance of database servers, develop processes for optimizing database security, set and maintain database standards, manage database access, database security, performance tuning of database systems, Install, upgrade, ETL and manage databases. She professionally, enjoy the challenge of identifying and solving problems, listening to the needs of business people, and managing a business. She is also attending varies trainings and webinar that can enhance managerial and interpersonal skills.

Aster is also heavily involved in volunteer activities at church and humanitarian activities to assist the needy individuals in Ethiopia. Personally, she enjoys and commit to her family, church, and building relationships with friends.

Aster worked in Black Economy Excellence in the Information Technology department maintenance, requirement gathering and testing the system. Currently she is Director of Membership Management for PurposeBlack Marketplace. She commits to strive hard to the advancement of PurposeBlack, Membership benefits, encourage Black small-scale business owners, to promote their small businesses and assist them in facilitating to use the PurposeBlack business platforms.
